Nationality
The ESIC Recruitment Notification PDF states that in order to be eligible to apply online for ESIC Recruitment, a candidate must fit one of the following criteria:
A person of Indian descent who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, or the United Republic of Tanzania is either (a) a citizen of India, (b) a subject of Nepal, (c) a subject of Bhutan, (d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling there, or (e) a person of Indian origin.
ESIC Educational Requirements
For the positions of UDC, MTS, and Steno, which have been described below, candidates applying online for various ESIC openings must ensure that they are eligible in terms of nationality, age restriction, and educational qualification.
- The candidate for ESIC UDC (Upper Division Clerk) should have a degree from an accredited university or an equivalent.
- He or she ought to be proficient with computers, including the utilisation of databases and Office programmes.
- Candidates for ESIC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) must have graduated from high school or an equivalent institution with a recognised board and university.
- Candidates for ESIC Stenographer positions must have a 12th grade diploma or an equivalent from a recognised Board or University.
Norms for the skill test for steno roles only:
- 10 minutes of dictation with an average word rate of 80.
- 50 minutes (in English) and 65 minutes (in Hindi) of transcription (done only on a computer).
