Tradesman Mate: Matriculation or 10th grade diploma, or similar, from an accredited school or university. Certificate in any Trade from an Approved Industrial Training School is Preferred.
Fireman: Matriculation or 10th grade diploma from an accredited school or board, or similar.

  • Only objective type, multiple choice items will be on the test. With the exception of English Language & Comprehension, the topics will be given in both English and Hindi.
  • The test will consist of objective-type questions that must be answered on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) Sheets; an example of these sheets can be found under the “Candidates Corner” section of the website at www.aocrecruitment.gov.in.
  • In written tests, there will be the option for negative marking (0.25 marks for each incorrect response).

Syllabus for the Army Ordnance Regiment

General Intelligence & Reasoning 

It would contain both verbal and nonverbal inquiries. The examination will include queries on comparisons and contrasts, spatial visualisation, analytical problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making.

Making, visual memory, discriminating observation, connection, concepts, classification of words and images, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, etc. Additionally, there will be queries on the exam that will assess the candidate’s aptitude for dealing with abstract concepts and symbols as well as their relationships, mathematical computation, and other analytical tasks, etc.

Mathematical Ability

The test will ask you to solve problems involving number systems, computing whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, relationships between numbers, basic mathematical operations, percentages, ratios, and proportions, averages, interest, profit and loss, discounts, use of tables and graphs, measurement, ratio and time, time and work, and other topics.

Basic Knowledge

The capacity of the candidate’s general awareness of their environment and its applications to society will be tested through a series of questions. Additionally, there will be questions that will test your understanding of current affairs as well as daily observation and experience in light of their scientific implications. Questions about sports, history, culture, geography, the economy, general policy, the Indian constitution, and other topics related to India and its neighbours will also be included in the exam. These inquiries will be made in a way that excludes the need for specialised study in any field.

General English

Candidates for General English must comprehend the English language and how to use it properly, including grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms.

How do I apply to join the Army Artillery Corps?

After applicants have completed the required online registration process using various OTP-based authentication on their mobile and email IDs, only online applications will be approved.
